honeymoon, part 3

montreal to yellowstone with a few stops in between.

June 15, 2010

crazy statue on the toronto exposition center, which doubles as the baseball field for the blue jays.

a view of the glass floor from inside the cn tower. it was a little freaky standing there. the eyes and the feet were giving my brain two different signals that didn't jive with each other.

inside the open air section of the cn tower.

the players are too small to see but there was actually a ball game going on while we were there.

tall...

this old round house, across the street from the expo center, was completely disassembled so they could build an underground parking garage and then reassembled back to its original form.

inside the round house is steam whistle brewery. this was part of their brewhouse.

wham! bam! take that!

richard had never had such a big prime rib in his life and he said it was the best he hhad ever had. it was like 24 ounces... it was huge!

this was a big farmers market in the middle of montreal. lots of really good veggies, fruits and snacks.

mai just loves her some fruit.

it took her a few tries, but mai finally got a bubble that covered her whole body. this was at the science museum in montreal.

mom and richard at the science museum.

another view of the cn tower. until 2007 it was the tallest freestanding structure in the world and it is still the second highest public observation deck at 1,465 ft.

dottie and george aand kyle and us after a sushi dinner in chicago.

me and the giant meet again! this is at blue earth, wisconsin, which is at the end of the minnesota river valley, which is where green giant foods was founded.

1200 miles worth of dead bugs. ugh.

charlie the bear did the entire road trip with us. here he is in south dakota at the site of a famous indian battle.

a herd of deer in yellowstone national park.

yellowstone scenery.

from halfway through minnesota until approaching reno, nevada, this was what our cell phones looked like. at&t may cover 97% of americans (the people) but it certainly doesn't cover 97% of america (the land).

yellowstone trees.

there were lots of water falls just randomly coming out of rocks all through yellowstone.

bison were all over the park on the day we were there. we also saw a moose and a coyote but weren't able to get pics of them.

dragon's mouth hot spring in yellowstone.

the edge of morning glory hot spring in yellowstone where all the sulpher and other minerals congealed into this yellow messy gunk.

morning glory hot spring in yelllowstone. this water was way too hot to even think about wanting to go in it.

we had to wait an hour for it, but old faithful didn't let us down.
